La tour Eiffel est une tour de fer puddlé de 327 mètres de hauteur située à Paris, à l'extrémité nord-ouest du parc du Champ-de-Mars, en bordure de la Seine. Contestée par certains à l'origine, la tour Eiffel fut d'abord, à l'occasion de l'exposition universelle de 1889, la vitrine du savoir-faire technologique français.
